Dominic

This is a mythological creature I drew and I named Dominic. My favorite things about him are his claws, and the way the black on his arms and legs change shades until they are grey. There are a whole pack of creatures like Dominic. If you have any idea what to call my pack of creatures like Dominic, leave a comment. Because I have no idea.

just a dude

This is just a guy that I drew because I was bored. The scan is so dark because my moms' printer was being weird. I got the idea for the hair at the concert I went to, except the guy at the concerts' hair had a streak of yellow in the front, and I don't do colours when I draw. The reason for that is I always think colours mess up details. I got the idea for the number on the shirt because my siblings are starting soccer, and soccer jerseys usually have numbers, and this guy is a very four-ish guy. The shoes are the shoes I always draw on guys, because one of my guy-friends always wears shoes like these.

Just a girl

This is just a girl in her semi-formal dress that I drew. I got the idea for the dress from several different dresses. I got the idea for the dress to be strapless from my cousins' wedding dress, which, as you may have guessed, was strapless. I got the idea for the sweetheart neckline from a gorgeous dress I saw on "say yes to the dress." I got the idea for the shortness and blackness of the dress from other normal dresses that I've seen in random places. She's not wearing shoes because I am extremely horrible at drawing fancy shoes : S

Totally weirdo outfit

I was thinking about the Owl City concert I went to, and what some of the outfits I saw would look like with some of the pieces switched with pieces of other outfits. I then combined those custom outfits with the outfits I saw on the Amazing Race, and this is what I came up with. It consists of the following: A large black hat, a black puffy, frilly dress with a white vest/corset covering the midsection, and flip flops. Her hair is done in a perm.

Hoody : )

I drew this drawing because I've never drawn people in hoodies before, and I always wear hoodies (though they're usually black not white) so I might as well draw someone in a hoody. I actually really really enjoy drawing hoodies, though it took me quite a while to get the hood part just right ; ) Its amazing how hard it is to draw a hood that starts and ends at the exact right spot.

Inspiration!!!!!

I was thinking about what I could draw next, and then I started thinking about my cousins' wedding. And that is where I got the inspiration for this drawing. My cousin had a gorgeous wedding dress, simply stunning, and so I decided to draw someone in a wedding dress. So this is what I drew : )

no inspiration

I haven't had any drawing inspiration lately, so I haven't drawn any new drawings to put on my blog : ( I'll post any new drawings I draw as soon as possible : )

Karate person

This is a person I drew wearing a karate outfit and a black belt. I really enjoyed drawing her hair for some reason, though I'm not sure why. I am absolutely horrible at drawing feet, I must say.

Another person

This is another anime person drawing I drew late at night. The inspiration for this drawing was Train's "Soul Sister".

another landscape drawing

This is another one of my landscape drawings. The inspiration for this drawing is Owl City's "Fireflies". I drew this drawing at about 11 o' clock at night, and the moon was shining on my bed, and it was all very nice ; )

one of my favorite drawings

This is one of my favorite drawings. It just gives me a sense of epicness.

A person

This is just a normal person I drew, though she looks a little angry. I'm not quite sure why.

Ninjas

These are some of my ninja drawings. I was inspired to draw these by the magic tree house book on ninjas : )

Historical note: Ninjas actually weren't warriors, they were hired agents, and they were usually hired to do think such as sabotage, infiltration, and assassination. They actually contrast samurai warriors, who had strict rules about honour and combat. Suffice to say, the ninjas didn't. But I still think ninjas are pretty cool ; )

YYYYYAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!

YYYYAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!
So my moms' email still isn't working, but she's letting me use her computer, so now I can post some of my drawings ; )

AAARRRGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

kay, so I got my drawing book back : D (thank you to my friend who got that for me ; )) But now my moms' computer is being stupid and won't let me scan my pictures and send then to my blog, so I can't post any new drawings right now. When my mom gets back from her walk I definitely will, though ; )

My duct tape hat

I know that this is a drawing blog, but I decided I need to put something on my blog, so I am putting up a picture of the hat that I made out of duct tape. There is no base that I put the duct tape over to shape it, unless you count my head. The big huge red splotch under my mouth in the pic was a huge cold sore, but by making concoctions of lotions and potions I have managed to get rid of it. And now, while I am still trying to forget that horrendous cold sore, I am putting a picture of it on the internet so that everyone in the world can see it. Oh, the stupidity of me ; )

*sigh*

*sigh*
I still don't have my drawing book back : (
My mom said that maybe we can email my youth leader to ask him if he has it, because I really need to get it back. Without looking at my past drawings I can't draw anything, because I need the inspiration of past drawings to be able to draw new ones. Music and past drawings are the inspiration I use for most of my drawings. Those and books : )

A little bit of wordplay ; )

Now, I just wanted to explain the little bit of wordplay that is the name of my blog: drawn by moonbeam. The first aspect of drawn by moonbeam is that the drawings are drawn by me, and before I was adopted my birthmom named me moonbeam. The second aspect is that I love the moon and the night, and so I am drawn to the moonbeams, or drawn by the moonbeams. The third aspect is that I usually draw the pictures at night, or by the light of the moonbeams. So those are the reasons I named my blog drawn by moonbeam ; )

Oooops : S

Last night when I was at youth group I accidentaly left my drawing book there, because of an episode that kind of made me forget it : S So I dont have any pictures I have drawn previously, and I won't until Sunday probably, but I might do some doodling later today. Hope I'll have another post up soon ; )

A little bit more about me

This post is just a little bit more about me. I am a twelve year old, homeschooled girl. I have two brothers, one eleven and one three. I also have a eight year old sister. You may have seen my moms' blog, Created 2B Creative. That has some of my drawings, and some of my other non-drawing art ventures. I have a dog, a ferret, my brother has a hermit crab, and eight rabbits. The reason we have eight rabbits is because we thought we were getting two male rabbits, but we weren't. And so now we have eight rabbits. The ferret, Merlin, is the only pet that belongs to me personally, and he is my baby. Thats him in the picture : ) My best subjects are reading and history. And thats just a little more about me ; )

Just a normal, everyday person

Now this is something I haven't drawn in a while! A picture of a normal, everyday person with no swords and no scalps and no bows and arrows!!!!! And no itchy, heavy Victorian dresses!!!!

Victorian clothes

Another anime craze i'm going through right now is drawing Victorian clothes, dresses in particular. I got the inspiration for this dress from an usborne book about king Henry VIII. And yes, I am aware of the fact that the picture is on an angle, but that was a scanning problem. Not my fault.

No swords, for now : )

This is a native American warrior princess. On her belt you can see she only has a small collection of scalps, but that is because she just had her first war.

Historical note: it actually wasn't native Americans who started the whole scalping thing, it was the dutch. They started it because if you caught and killed an outlaw, you needed their scalp to prove it. I personally don't know why they wouldn't just cut off some random persons' scalp and give it in to receive the bounty, so I guess it was just a minor glitch in the plan ; )

More people with swords

Just a couple more people with swords : )

My Lord of The Rings phase

Right now I am going throug a crazy Lord of The Rings phase, so I have been drawing several people with swords. I dont know how to draw hobbits, so they are just people with swords ; )

My second anime drawing

This is my second anime drawing, also inspired by one of my brothers' digimon cards. This one only took me about two hours to draw, but I spent a lot more time working on detail than on body shape.

My first anime drawing

This is my first anime drawing. I was inspired to draw it when I was sitting at my learning lab table and my brother was playing with his digimon cards, so I took one and started drawing it. I dont usually use colour in my pictures, because I always end up messing them up.
I spent about four hours working on this drawing.
